Today, Clos Haut Peyraguey vineyards consist of 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon. Our choice of favoring Sémillon over Sauvignon when restructuring the vines resulted from the adaptative capacity of each variety to the specific terroir of the Clos.

Sémillon brings classic structure, density and liquor. On our highly diversified terroir it also develops elegance and freshness. The significant proportion of a clayish sub-soil favors pleasant acidity in the musts. For this reason, we consider the small proportion of Sauvignon in our vineyard sufficient. See Video.
